My Life As Kayla

So last night I was at theory of a deadman concert whiched freakin ruled of course my ears still ring and yet I have been already sick for a week and a half now :/ but I did not let that stop me on having a good time, The opening acts for theory were stellar revival, which is a good band I fell in love with couple of there songs——> saving grace and the crazy ones, but the second band that opened for them was pop evil which I heard and seen the last time they toured with theory which was two years ago it seemed like, they still have that rock and roll mentality, with the crowd loved them even more, with that in mind I too was most excited to hear theory of a deadman I got a meet and greet with them which was amazing, to actually talk to them and shake there hands and thank them for being an amazing band, they put on a gray show as always, without a doubt rocked the show but what got me is that I walked out of that venue with a t shirt and my vinyl that they signed which I am pretty happy about

One of the concerts I went to recently Panic at the disco! with patirck stump… yes the same patrick stump from fallout boy… it was a great conert and had some fun and laughs but no meet and greets like some other bands, That me and my friend jamie went to see I was just happy to have enjoyed it and spent time off from work to do it. But i disliked the opening band though, I like the cowboy hat that he had but just couldnt wait for them to get off the stage… :)

Well I am have been neglecting my tumblr alot latley, work has tooken over my life so I really have no life, seriously I barely have time for myself, I feel like a loser and a workaholic. I am thinking about moving back to wiscocsin -_-

It’s true, I absolutely did get a tattoo.

what it is: It’s a glowing, black Mandalorian Symbol or a “Mythosaur” skull surrounded by orange that fades into red that’s outlined by a purple rope in the shape of an oval and flanked by blue roses and thorns, on both sides.

what it means: A “Mythosaur” is a fictional beast from Star Wars that used to inhabit the planet “Mandalore” before the Mandalorians killed them all off, and adopted their skull as a symbol of their people. Mandalorians are the race that live on the planet Mandalore. They were known, and revered for being legendary warriors. Boba Fett was a Mandalorian.

why I got it: I experienced a monumental shift in my life, a sort of loss i guess, and I was having a really hard time coping with it. I ended up severely depressed. I spent most of my time moping and eating. After a week of indulging in pathetic self pity and doing absolutely nothing about it, I remembered something: I’m not the type of girl that sits around and wallows in self pity. I’m a warrior. I have lots of kids looking up to me as a role model and I owe my fans, I have to set a strong example. I don’t have the luxury of getting down on myself and giving up. My fans deserve better. They deserve stronger. They deserve a Mandalorian. So I decided that I would never let myself get that low again because I AM a fierce nerdy warrior and to commemorate that shift and as a permanent reminder of this, I decided I would get a tattoo of the Mandalorian Mythosaur skull as symbol of my own personal strength and deep, obviously unhealthy love for Star Wars.

who did it: The guy who did it was the extremely nice, talented, creative, and TEXAN: ADAM HAYS. When you have to sit in a chair for hours while someone painfully jabs your arm with tiny needles, it helps if their funny, thoughtful, and comforting. He was all of those things and he has awesome taste in music AND HE’S A STAR WARS FAN. He was recommended to me from Bonnie Burton who works at Lucas Film. She asked around and the guy who made a Star Wars tattoo book, recommended him. When I came in with my idea, he suggested that I add more to the skull and he made my tattoo a beautiful, one of a kind piece. He works at Red Rocket Tattoo in New York City. He’s going on a tour soon. Check out his website and go get a tattoo from him, you won’t be disappointed.

Hi Everyone - We’re very excited to officially (darn internet) announce that our third album, “Vices & Virtues,” will be released everywhere on March 29.
